Dr. Tarek Swelim, earned his Ph.D. at Harvard University, an M.A. at the American University in Cairo, and a B.S. degree in Egyptology. In 1979 he started his career by guiding and lecturing to academic groups in Egypt. In 1994, he decided to extend his expertise and began leading tours throughout the Middle East. He has served as a lecturer and guide for American institutions such as the American Museum of Natural History, Stanford University, Harvard University, the Smithsonian Institution, the Field Museum of Natural History, the National Trust Foundation, and the Elder Hostel Foundation. Dr. Swelim is an expert on the art, architecture, and history of Egypt. As a lecturer and guide he has chosen to broaden his field of vision by studying not only ancient Egypt but also the country's Islamic monuments. |
